Xiaomi has officially rolled out its HyperOS 3 update, featuring AI-powered enhancements and a redesigned interface. After an initial beta test on August 25, the stable version is now live for select flagship phones in China.

The Android 16-based update focuses on smoother animations, faster performance, and better integration across Xiaomi’s growing ecosystem of devices. The global release is expected within the next few weeks.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3: Global Rollout Expected Soon

The Chinese release is just the beginning. Xiaomi plans to expand HyperOS 3 globally across its flagship and mid-range phones in the coming weeks. Indian users of the Xiaomi 15 series and Redmi K80 models can expect the update to roll out in late October or early November 2025.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3: Supported Phones

The stable HyperOS 3 rollout begins in China, starting with six top-tier Xiaomi and Redmi devices. These are the first to receive the update:

  • Xiaomi 15: OS3.0.2.0.WOCCNXM
  • Xiaomi 15 Pro: OS3.0.3.0.WOBCNXM
  • Xiaomi 15S Pro: OS3.0.4.0.WODCNXM
  • Xiaomi 15 Ultra: OS3.0.2.0.WOACNXM
  • Redmi K80 Pro: OS3.0.2.0.WOMCNXM
  • Redmi K80 Ultra: OS3.0.2.0.WONCNXM

While these are Chinese firmware versions, the global versions of the Xiaomi 15 series are expected to follow soon, possibly by the end of October 2025.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Update: New Features

The new HyperOS 3 introduces a refreshing design overhaul, featuring updated colours, rounded icons, and a smoother interface. Xiaomi promises a faster, more fluid experience that enhances day-to-day use.

One of the biggest additions is Hyper Island, a feature that works like Apple’s Dynamic Island. It displays real-time updates for battery status, timers, reminders, and media controls near the selfie camera area. Xiaomi says the feature makes multitasking easier and more intuitive.

HyperOS 3 also introduces better device integration within the Xiaomi ecosystem. Users can now manage calls, messages, and screen sharing across their smartphones, tablets, and laptops seamlessly. This means a phone call can be answered from a Xiaomi Pad or laptop without switching devices.

Another major feature is a wireless sharing tool similar to Apple’s AirDrop. It allows users to quickly exchange files, photos, or links between Xiaomi devices by simply bringing them close together.

Xiaomi claims the update makes the system “faster, smarter, and smoother,” offering refined animations, stable graphics, and enhanced AI processing to deliver an improved user experience.

HyperOS 3 Strengthens Xiaomi’s AI Ecosystem

With HyperOS 3, Xiaomi is not just upgrading Android — it’s laying the foundation for a smarter, connected ecosystem. The integration of AI into daily features such as photo organization, predictive suggestions, and device control shows Xiaomi’s push toward a multi-device AI ecosystem.

The update aligns with Xiaomi’s broader vision of creating a “human-centric smart ecosystem” where phones, wearables, and home devices communicate effortlessly.
