OpenAI has added a new feature called ChatGPT Pulse which is announced on September 25, 2025. This transforms ChatGPT from being just a question and answer tool to a proactive personal assistant. Instead of waiting for users to ask questions, Pulse sends daily updates tailored to guide your day, making it more intuitive and seamless for interacting with AI.
ChatGPT Pulse is a personalized daily briefing built right into the ChatGPT app. The conventional ChatGPT wherein the users open conversations, Pulse sends curated information every morning and taking the lead. These updates are presented in the form of visual cards that adapt to your interests, your previous conversations and optional linked apps in order to help keep you informed and productive without having to search for information yourself.

It analyzes the recent chats of yours, saved memories and feedback, Pulse would operate at night while you would be asleep to gather relevant data for preparing a personalized feed for the next day. This asynchrony means that it does not need your active involvement to present anything meaningful and Pulse can be influenced by curating your feed and providing simple feedback through thumbs-up or thumbs-down options over time to finetune your experience.
Pulse removes the need for overwhelming scrolling by ensuring updates become invisible once more than 24 hours have passed, unless you have saved them. Each card provides actionable insights, nudging you with possible next steps for a productive day ahead. You can link apps such as Gmail or Google Calendar for smarter recommendations, such as personalized agendas, reminders or even dining suggestions, making Pulse a comprehensive digital assistant.
