The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a stark warning that sends a chill down the spine of millions. Multiple "high severity" vulnerabilities in Google Chrome were highlighted by the national cyber security agency in a security advisory, putting users' devices and personal information at risk from hackers.
The vulnerabilities, if exploited, are not mere inconveniences. They represent a critical breach in the browser's defenses. But what does this technical warning mean for the average user?
According to CERT-In, these flaws could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on your machine. In simple terms, this means a hacker could run any software or command on your computer without your permission. The repercussions are dire: they may install malicious software, steal private data like bank account information and passwords, cause your browser to crash repeatedly in a denial-of-service (DoS) attack, or even take over the compromised device.

The critical flaws exist in Google Chrome versions prior to 140.0.7339.207/.208 for Windows and Mac, and versions prior to 140.0.7339.207 for Linux.
