Asus has stayed silent about its next ROG gaming smartphones this year. This silence created strong rumours that the company may have ended the popular ROG Phone lineup. But a new leak suggests the series is far from dead. The ROG Phone 10 series is reportedly on the way, and early details have started to appear online.
Leak Confirms ROG Phone 10 Is Coming
A reliable Chinese leaker, Smart Pikcahu, shared the update on Weibo. A follower asked if Asus had shut down its ROG smartphone line. The leaker replied that the brand has not stopped the series and added that “the ROG (phone) 10 is on its way”. This comment alone has revived hopes among mobile gamers who feared the end of one of the most powerful gaming phone lineups.
ROG Phone 10 Series: Key Specifications
A search on Weibo shows an older post by the same leaker from late September. That post claimed the next-gen ROG Phone 10 series will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This chipset is Qualcomm’s most advanced mobile processor so far. It promises strong CPU and GPU boosts, lower power consumption, and improved thermal performance.
The design of the new phones may remain familiar. But the leak says Asus will upgrade heat management and add new AI features. ROG phones have always focused on cooling, so improved heat dissipation suggests higher performance targets for long gaming sessions.
ROG Phone 10 Series: High Refresh Rate & Ray Tracing Expected
The leaker also said the ROG Phone 10 will offer a high refresh rate, ray tracing, and “desktop-level performance.” Asus already provides a 185Hz refresh rate on the ROG Phone 9, ROG Phone 9 FE, and ROG Phone 9 Pro.
The new models may continue with a similar refresh rate. Several games have also been optimised to take advantage of this high refresh rate, giving users smoother graphics and faster response times.
Why the Silence May Be Strategic?
This time last year, the ROG Phone 9 already had an unboxing video, teasers, and a confirmed launch schedule. The absence of such promotions this year raised doubts. But the silence may be strategic.
Asus may be waiting for game studios to finish optimizing their titles for the next hardware upgrade. This timing could help the ROG Phone 10 launch with stronger game support and better marketing momentum—something the brand struggled with last year due to tight competition in the gaming phone market.
ROG Phone 10 Series: More Details Expected Soon
The leak does not reveal the launch date. But the mention of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 suggests the phone may arrive soon after Qualcomm’s flagship chipset becomes widely available. Until Asus confirms the details officially, all information should be taken with caution.
