The much-awaited OnePlus 15 will be officially launched in China on October 27. The company has been sharing previews of the smartphone’s stylish design and strong features ahead of the official release. This new flagship phone is expected to bring big improvements in speed, battery life, and screen quality compared to its previous model, the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will have a massive 7,300mAh battery, which is one of the largest batteries ever used in a OnePlus flagship phone. The device will also support 120W wired fast charging.
This means users can charge the phone very quickly, in just a few minutes. On top of that, it will support 50W wireless charging, giving users more options to charge the phone without using a cable.
This combination of a big battery and super-fast charging makes sure that even people who use their phone a lot—like for gaming, watching videos, or taking photos—can use it all day without worrying about running out of battery.
The company also revealed a new colour option for the OnePlus 15 called ‘Absolute Black’. In a recent video, OnePlus showed off the phone’s scratch-resistant matte finish.
Light scratches on the back can be wiped off easily with a cloth, which shows that the phone is built to last. The new colour and finish also give the phone a premium look without smudges, which will appeal to people who like simple and clean designs.
Before the official launch, the global version of the OnePlus 15 appeared on Geekbench, confirming some of its main features. The phone, listed as OnePlus CPH2745, scored 3615 points in single-core tests and 10261 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench 6.5.0.
The listing also revealed that the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, has 12GB of RAM, and uses Android 16. This powerful chipset ensures smooth performance when running multiple apps, playing high-end games, or using AI-based features.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will come with a 165Hz AMOLED display. This means the screen will be extremely smooth, making everything from scrolling to gaming look fluid and enjoyable. This makes the OnePlus 15 one of the few smartphones in 2025 to have such a high refresh rate combined with top-level processing power.
With a huge battery, incredibly fast charging, and a next-generation Snapdragon processor, the OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be one of the strongest Android phones of 2025. OnePlus wants to offer a balance of fast performance, long battery life, and a durable, stylish design with its newest flagship.
The OnePlus 15 will be launched together with the OnePlus Ace 6. Both phones are expected to bring major upgrades to the company’s flagship lineup this year.
