OnePlus has finally launched its next-generation flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, at its October 2025 event in China. After months of leaks and rumours, the new device brings major improvements in design, performance, and battery life.

With a massive 7,300mAh battery, the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and 120W fast charging, it’s being called one of the most powerful Android phones of 2025.

OnePlus 15 Price, Variants, & Colours

OnePlus has priced the phone competitively in China. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 3,999 (around Rs 50,000). Higher variants include:

  • 16GB + 256GB at CNY 4,299 (Rs 53,000)
  • 12GB + 512GB at CNY 4,599 (Rs 57,000)
  • 16GB + 512GB at CNY 4,899 (Rs 61,000)
  • 16GB + 1TB at CNY 5,399 (Rs 67,000)

The OnePlus 15 comes in Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune colours. The Sand Dune version has a matte, sandstone-like finish that gives it a premium look. Sales in China start from October 28 on the company’s official website.

OnePlus 15: India Launch & Price

For Indian buyers, OnePlus has teased that “something special” is coming on October 29. While it may be a teaser or soft launch, the full India debut is expected in early November 2025.

The OnePlus 15 is likely to be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 70,000 in India, similar to the OnePlus 13’s launch price of Rs 69,999.

OnePlus 15: Design & Display

The OnePlus 15 features a square-shaped triple-camera module, replacing the rounded design of the previous model. It looks bolder and more refined while remaining sleek and compact.

The phone sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals. It supports a 1.5K resolution, slightly lower than the QHD+ panels of earlier OnePlus flagships.

OnePlus explained that “a 165Hz panel at QHD+ resolution is not yet technically viable,” but assured that the new display costs more and offers better low-light comfort with a minimum brightness of 1 nit.

OnePlus 15: Power & Performance

The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. With up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, the OnePlus 15 promises unmatched speed for gaming and multitasking. It runs OxygenOS globally and ColorOS in China, both offering AI-driven performance and faster app launches.

OnePlus 15: Battery & Charging

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights this year. The OnePlus 15 houses a 7,300mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus flagship. It supports 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge, ensuring a quick full recharge in minutes.

However, it’s unclear if the global model will feature the same large battery due to regional restrictions.

OnePlus 15: Camera Setup

The OnePlus 15 comes with a triple 50MP rear camera setup — main, ultra-wide, and 3.5x periscope telephoto lenses. The new telephoto lens improves zoom quality over the OnePlus 13.

Even without Hasselblad branding, OnePlus says its in-house image processing delivers better colours and low-light shots. The phone supports 4K 120fps Dolby Vision and 8K video recording. For selfies, it offers a 32MP front camera with 4K 60fps video recording.

OnePlus Bets Big on Battery Power

With the OnePlus 15, the company is making a clear shift toward endurance and reliability. The massive battery and efficient chipset signal that OnePlus is focusing on sustained performance over flashy gimmicks — a move that could reshape its position in the flagship market.
