Apple is gearing up to launch iOS 26 later this year, but eager users don't have to wait the public beta is already available for eligible iPhones.

The update introduces a sleek 'Liquid Glass' translucent design, giving the interface a modern finish. iOS 26 also enhances Apple Intelligence, with features like real-time translation and a smarter Visual Intelligence search. For everyday use, iPhones now gain built-in call screening and in-chat polls, making calls and messaging more convenient.

Not every device can run the new software. iOS 26 requires at least the A13 Bionic chip, which rules out older models. Supported devices include:
The iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR won't receive iOS 26.

While all supported devices can install iOS 26, Al-powered features remain exclusive to newer hardware. Tools like Genmoji, Image Playground, and the advanced Visual Intelligence search will only be available on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 models.
Older iPhones will still benefit from the new design and system updates, but without Apple's most advanced Al features.
