Google Meet is experiencing a major service disruption in India today, November 26, 2025. A  number of users unable to join or start meetings. Reports on outage trackers like Downdetector spiked this morning, and users have vented their frustrations on social media platform X .

Users are facing difficulties to meet requirements causing frustration among professionals and students relying on the platform. According to Downdetector, over 981 users in India had reported problems with Google Meet as of 11:49 am. The issue has been widely shared on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), with many users venting their frustrations over the disruption of service.

Reactions on Social Media

Many users took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their experiences and vent their frustration about the outage. The outage has prompted frustating reactions .

One user sarcastically wrote, “Google Meet crashed before my will to work did,” while another said, “Google Meet is down for everyone in my org but not for me.” A third user questioned the frequency of such incidents by asking, “Why every big tech is going down this month?”

Recent Tech Outages

This disruption follows a recent outage at web-infrastructure company Cloudflare, which affected several major websites, including X, Canva, and ChatGPT. Although the Cloudflare issue was resolved quickly, the company’s Chief Technology Officer Dane Knecht admitted the lapse, stating they “failed” their customers “and the broader Internet when a problem in Cloudflare network impacted large amounts of traffic that rely on us.”
