Canon enthusiasts are buzzing with speculation about the next big hybrid camera – the Canon EOS R6 Mark III. Rumors suggest that it could share the same 32MP, 7K, open-gate, 40fps sensor as the newly announced Canon EOS C50. If true, it would turn the R6 Mark III into a powerhouse for both photographers and videographers.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark II has been one of Canon’s most popular cameras, known for its versatility and high performance. The Mark III is expected to continue that legacy. Fans are eager to see what upgrades Canon will include, especially in terms of sensor technology and video capabilities.
Previously, reports suggested the Mark III might use a 24MP stacked sensor from the Canon EOS R3, paired with the 5.69 million-dot electronic viewfinder from the R5, but these rumors are nearly a year old. Since then, speculation has shifted to whether Canon might adopt the new C50 sensor, which was designed for cinema cameras but has exciting hybrid potential.
