Prashant Kishor’s official affiliation as a strategist with BJP was mainly from the 2014 Lok Sabha election when his outfit, Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG), contributed to the party’s victory. Nevertheless, he is said to have moved out of the BJP circle and officially separated by mid-2015. The shift was attributed to a clash of visions and party tensions, and with reports that he had been at variance with leaders such as Amit Shah. He thereafter rebranded CAG as the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) and began offering his services as an independent strategist to other parties after 2014.
