On State Formation Day, Chief Minister Highlights Welfare, Development, Jobs, Agriculture and Vision 2047.
Marking Telangana’s State Formation Day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paid tribute to the martyrs and activists who fought for statehood and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to welfare, social justice and economic transformation.
Addressing the people of Telangana, the Chief Minister said the government has worked relentlessly over the last two-and-a-half years to fulfill the aspirations of farmers, youth, women, marginalized communities and the poor. He expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for their role in the creation of Telangana.
Highlighting achievements in the agriculture sector, Revanth Reddy said the state recorded a historic food grain production of 236.87 lakh metric tonnes in 2025-26. The government waived crop loans up to ₹2 lakh, benefiting nearly 25 lakh farmers, and spent over ₹1.56 lakh crore on agriculture and farmer welfare. Telangana has also emerged as a national leader in paddy procurement.
The Chief Minister said women’s empowerment remains a key priority, with self-help groups receiving interest-free loans and greater access to entrepreneurship opportunities. Schemes such as free bus travel for women, subsidized LPG cylinders and free electricity for eligible households have provided substantial financial relief.
On employment, he noted that 67,763 government jobs have been filled in a transparent manner, while reforms in recruitment agencies have restored public confidence. The government has also strengthened education by expanding pre-primary classes, introducing skill development initiatives and upgrading public institutions.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the Indiramma Housing Scheme, under which 4.5 lakh houses were sanctioned, and announced continued efforts to provide housing security to poor families. He also pointed to landmark initiatives such as caste census, SC sub-categorisation, enhanced BC reservations and legal protection for gig workers.
Presenting the long-term roadmap, the Chief Minister said the “Telangana Rising-2047” vision aims to transform the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through the CURE-PURE-RARE development model, infrastructure expansion, industrial growth and agricultural modernization.
Calling for collective participation in Telangana’s progress, he urged citizens to join the mission of building a prosperous, equitable and globally competitive Telangana.
