PM Modi has just come from Bodh Gaya, where a large rally was addressed regarding RJD and Congress. The bitter accusation by PM Modi against RJD and Congress is that they are working to obstruct the proposed 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill from self-serving Democratic Party-mandated purposes.

The Bill disqualifies from office prime ministers, chief ministers and ministers if they are detained for more than 30 days on serious charges. Modi accused many members of the leadership of the opposition as the ones resisting the law since the majority of them were either in prison or out on bail.

Corruption: Bihar’s Political Past

The Prime Minister reminded Bihar of its harrowing past under rule by RJD and Congress, where development projects had to be stalled on the grounds of widespread corruption. He added that opposition tended to treat citizens of Bihar merely as vote banks, enriching themselves without governance. In contrary, Modi saw the NDA government as one that advocates transparency and accountability.

Shifting eventually to the national security of a demography mission, Modi warned against dangers of illegal immigration in the border districts of Bihar. He announced the setting up of a high-powered Demography Mission to check demographic imbalance caused by infiltration. Modi, however, accused RJD and Congress of aiding infiltration for votes, and pledged that against the migrants claiming goods or jobs, it would not be tolerated.

Operation Sindoor: New Defence Strategy

If India had shown that it stood assertively brazen in matters of arms, Modi, talking on Operation Sindoor, said that it highlights India’s ability to neutralize threats anywhere. He quickly was reminded by the Pahalgam terror strike and his previous promise from Bihar’s soil that he would crush terrorism.

According to him, the success of the operation redefined India’s defence policy, making it clear that no adversary will escape punishment.

Housing for All-Developments Projects

Modi also laid the foundation stones for projects worth ₹13,000 crore in Gaya under energy, healthcare, and infrastructure development apart from sharp political onslaughts. He also presented keys symbolically to beneficiaries under PM Awas Yojana, with over 4 crore homes built across the country, including 38 lakh homes in Bihar. These homes, with electricity, water and cooking gas, were termed more than homes-with respect to the dignity and empowerment of the poor.

A sharp political criticism coupled with promises of security, development and welfare-the Bodh Gaya speech of PM Modi. Instead of contrasting achievements of his government with the sheer failures of the opposition, Modi hoped to strengthen the NDA’s image, that of a ruling force of stability and progress in and beyond Bihar.
