Ram Madhav addresses speculation, affirming BJP and RSS as part of one ideological family (Siasat)
Denial of the relevant and politically motivated rumor on friction between the two organizations was emphasized by senior leader Ram Madhav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday, as he said both are working due to the same ideological basis.
"Reports of differences are politically inclined conjectures," said Madhav, branding the BJP and the RSS as the members of a "shared family of thought."
In clearing up the relationship, he stated that while the BJP had a political path, the RSS outside the political arena would carry on with its activities through various community and social service activities. "There is no conflict.

The Sangh works with all sections of society, irrespective of whether they support us or not." As he says, "Even those from rival parties like Congress have a chance to contribute in the Sangh's framework."
The remarks come amid criticism from Congress, which accused Modi of insulting the Constitution by praising the RSS during his Independence Day address. In response to the criticism, Madhav lauded Modi for bringing the attention of the entire nation to the RSS's hundred years of contribution to nation-building.

He also stated that the Prime Minister's acknowledgment has invigorated Swayamsevak's across the country.
Madhav stated that the Congress's opposition to the RSS is based on political opportunism rather than any genuine ideological differences. He remarked that, while vociferously opposing the RSS, almost all of the critics are aware that the Sangh plays a major role in character-building and society-making.
"The RSS is engaged in man-making, away from the tussle of politics," he stated, emphasizing the Sangh's work is all-inclusive and community-based.
Earlier, Arun Kumar, a senior RSS leader, also stated that the BJP and the Sangh operate on a basis of "mutual trust." Although independent in functioning, their workings are often in synergy with each other, on the basis of common values and long-standing ideological accord.
Madhav also seconded this view, emphasizing that speculations of discord were unwarranted and had only surfaced when political rivals were bereft of other points of criticism.
