Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and senior BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of attempting to create inter-state disputes for political gains and to divert public attention from the Congress government’s alleged failure to implement its six guarantees and manage paddy procurement effectively.

Speaking at Telangana State Formation Day celebrations held at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad, Bandi Sanjay said the Chief Minister’s criticism of Maharashtra and his remarks about not receiving an appointment with the Maharashtra Chief Minister were politically motivated.

“If the Chief Minister is unable to secure an appointment, he should admit it openly. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and I are prepared to help arrange the meeting,” Bandi Sanjay remarked. He cautioned against provoking unnecessary disputes with neighbouring states and stressed the importance of maintaining cordial relations for regional development.

The Union Minister questioned the Congress government’s allegations against Maharashtra, pointing out that the neighbouring state had cooperated with Telangana on issues related to the Kaleshwaram project. He accused the Congress of attempting to mislead the public and deflect attention from unfulfilled promises.

Criticising the state government’s performance, Bandi Sanjay alleged that Telangana had deteriorated under Congress rule. Describing the administration as a “Triple-C government,” he said Congress stood for “Confusion, Corruption and Commission.” He claimed that people were becoming increasingly disillusioned with the government over its failure to implement welfare guarantees.

The BJP leader also accused the state government of misusing central funds and failing to provide matching grants and land acquisition support required for development projects. On paddy procurement, he maintained that the Centre was purchasing grain based on reports submitted by the state government and challenged the Congress administration to explain why it had not formally raised concerns with the Prime Minister if procurement issues genuinely existed.

Appealing to voters, Bandi Sanjay said Telangana required a “double-engine government” for faster development. He urged people to give the BJP an opportunity to govern the state, promising increased central support and accelerated growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
