TDP to launch 45-day bicycle outreach campaign from June 25; NDA partners to coordinate on voter verification drive.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday called for heightened preparedness ahead of the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, directing party cadres to ensure 100 per cent voter mapping and enrolment across the state.
Addressing a state-level workshop on the SIR process at the TDP Central Office in Amaravati, attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs, zonal coordinators, party observers and Booth Level Agents (BLAs), Naidu described voter registration and verification as one of the party’s most important organisational responsibilities.
Stressing the significance of accurate electoral rolls, the Chief Minister instructed party leaders and workers to conduct repeated field visits, verify voter details and work closely with Booth Level Officers to ensure that every eligible voter is included before the revision process concludes.
“Voter lists form the foundation of every electoral strategy. Every vote must be mapped and every eligible citizen must be enrolled,” Naidu said, adding that the party would closely monitor the exercise through regular reviews from the state level to the grassroots.
Referring to the recently concluded TDP Mahanadu, Naidu said more than 24.5 lakh people participated through the party’s hybrid format, describing it as a reflection of the organisation’s strength and the commitment of its cadre.
Highlighting the importance of alliance coordination, he announced that the TDP would work in close coordination with its NDA partners, Jana Sena Party and BJP, during the SIR process. A joint coordination mechanism involving all three parties will be established to oversee voter-list activities and strengthen grassroots cooperation, he said.
The Chief Minister also unveiled a major statewide public outreach programme beginning June 25. Under the initiative, party leaders and workers will undertake a 45-day door-to-door campaign to showcase the achievements of the NDA governments at both the Centre and the State.
The campaign will feature bicycle-based outreach programmes across Andhra Pradesh, with Naidu himself participating. Key achievements in welfare delivery, infrastructure development, investment mobilisation, governance reforms, employment generation and the revival of major projects will be highlighted during the campaign.
Calling for stronger public engagement, Naidu urged elected representatives to remain connected with people and focus on development, good governance, integrity and public trust. He said organisational discipline and grassroots mobilisation would remain crucial for sustaining electoral success and meeting future political challenges.
