BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of promoting regional divisions and misleading people about the Centre’s contribution to Telangana’s development.

Addressing party workers at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Camp in Yadagirigutta, Ramchander Rao said the BJP’s periodic training programmes reflect the party’s commitment to ideological growth and adapting to changing political and social realities. He noted that the BJP has emerged as the world’s largest political party and said every worker should take pride in serving the organisation.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rao described him as the longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister in India to win three consecutive terms. He expressed confidence that Modi would continue leading the nation for years to come.

Taking exception to recent remarks made by Revanth Reddy at a public event, Rao alleged that the Chief Minister’s comments about national leaders from North India were divisive and against the spirit of national unity. He questioned the Congress leadership’s criticism of Delhi while maintaining close ties with the party high command.

The BJP leader accused the Congress of running a false campaign that Telangana was being neglected by the Centre. He claimed that over the past 12 years, the Union Government had extended support worth nearly ₹13 lakh crore to Telangana through infrastructure projects, welfare schemes and institutional development.

Highlighting key projects, Rao cited the expansion of national highways, the revival of the Ramagundam Fertilizer Plant, approval of the Kazipet Coach Factory, the PM MITRA Textile Park in Warangal, the Tribal University in Mulugu and investments in aerospace and defence industries near Hyderabad.

He further alleged that the Congress government had failed to showcase major achievements during its tenure and was instead focused on criticising the Centre. Calling upon BJP workers to actively participate in voter-list revision drives, Rao said the people of Telangana were looking for a credible alternative and asserted that the BJP alone could provide effective governance and development in the state.
