MP pledges comprehensive development for Kalka Panchkula region

Panchkula: The village of Golpura in the Raipur Rani area received a major development boost today. Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma laid the foundation stone for several development projects in the Gram Panchayat of Golpura, including a community center, an Ambedkar Bhawan, village street renovations, a drain, and a road leading to the graveyard.

A large number of villagers were present, and MP Kartikeya Sharma was given a warm welcome. According to reports, development work worth over Rs 1.26 crore (12.6 million rupees) has been completed or is in various stages of completion in Gram Panchayat Golpura between October 2024 and January 2026. These include projects such as an open gym on the school campus, RCC pillars on Panchayat land, cremation grounds, a power block, a water tank, street construction, a community centre, and an Ambedkar Bhawan.

Addressing the public meeting, MP Kartikeya Sharma said that the work that had remained unfinished in the Kalka area would now be completed. He said that development would not be limited to a single village or constituency, but rather the entire district would be elevated, and development work would be in full swing in Kalka, Panchkula, and Raipur Rani.

He assured the public that the promises we made will be fulfilled. This is just the beginning. This is just the start; let’s see what the outcome will be.”

The MP said that work on the roads is also going on continuously and the work of constructing the roads will be completed soon, which will improve the connectivity of the area and make daily life easier.

Speaking emotionally to the villagers, the MP said, “You are my entire family. The doors of my house are open for you 24 hours a day.”

He also said that MLA Shakti Rani Sharma is constantly concerned about ensuring that maximum development work is carried out in her constituency and that the benefits of the schemes reach the public directly. With this spirit, schemes are being implemented in the area.

Keeping the big picture of development in mind, the MP said that to become a developed India, first Kalka will be developed, then Raipur Rani will be developed, then Panchkula will be developed and only then the entire Haryana will become developed.”

Regarding women’s health, the MP stated that she personally initiated the “Namo Shakti Rath” initiative to help detect serious diseases like cancer in a timely manner. She added that the central government is providing assistance of up to five lakh rupees for treatment to poor families, and that testing facilities are being made available on the ground, as a developed India is not possible without a healthy India.

District and division level public representatives, Panchayat Samiti officials, BDC Chairman, Mandal President, District officials, social workers and a large number of villagers were present in the program.
