A Mumbai-based investor has accused popular online brokerage firm Zerodha of running a “scam” after he was allegedly unable to withdraw over Rs 5 crore from his demat account.
According to the post, Dr Aniruddha Malpani had Rs 18 crore in his withdrawable balance.
Dr Malpani, an in-vitro fertilization specialist and an angel investor, posted screenshots of his Zerodha account on X. The images showed the total account value at Rs 42.9 crore, a used margin of about Rs 24.46 crore locked in trades, and a withdrawable balance of Rs 18.46 crore.
