India’s entrepreneurial landscape is witnessing unprecedented growth, led by visionary women who have transformed industries with innovation, resilience, and strategic leadership. The Hurun India Rich List 2025 highlights the wealthiest women entrepreneurs, showcasing those who built successful ventures across technology, healthcare, beauty, retail, and financial services. Topping the list is Jayshree Ullal, CEO of Arista Networks, with a net worth of Rs 50,170 crore, followed closely by Radha Vembu of Zoho and Falguni Nayar of Nykaa.

Jayshree Ullal – Arista Networks

Wealth: Rs 50,170 crore

Career & Achievements: Jayshree Ullal has led Arista Networks as President and CEO since 2008. The publicly-traded company generated $7 billion in revenue last year, marking a 20% increase from the previous year. Ullal owns about 3% of Arista’s stock and serves on the board of Snowflake, a leading cloud computing company. She previously held senior positions at Cisco Systems, AMD, and Fairchild Semiconductor.

Early Life & Education: Born in London on March 27, 1961, Ullal grew up in New Delhi, attending the Convent of Jesus and Mary. She earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.

Radha Vembu – Zoho Corporation

Wealth: Rs 46,580 crore

Career & Achievements: Radha Vembu is the majority stakeholder of privately-held Zoho Corp, which offers cloud-based business software. She serves as the product manager for Zoho Mail. Founded in 1996 by her elder brother Sridhar Vembu as AdventNet, Zoho has grown into a globally recognized software provider.

Early Life & Education: Born in Chennai around 1972, Vembu completed schooling at National Higher Secondary School in Chennai and earned a degree in Industrial Management from IIT Madras.

Falguni Nayar – Nykaa

Wealth: Rs 39,810 crore

Career & Achievements: Falguni Nayar founded Nykaa, a multi-brand beauty and lifestyle retailer, in 2012 after leaving her role as Managing Director at Kotak Mahindra Capital. Nykaa operates online and across nearly 200 physical stores in India. The company went public in 2021 with a valuation of Rs 13,000 crore.

Early Life & Education: Born in Mumbai in 1963 to a Gujarati business family, Nayar holds a B.Com from Sydenham College and an MBA in Finance from IIM Ahmedabad.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw – Biocon

Wealth: Rs 29,330 crore

Career & Achievements: Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is the founder and executive chairperson of Biocon Limited and Biocon Biologics Limited. She started Biocon in 1978 from her garage with a seed capital of Rs 10,000. Today, Biocon is a leading global biotechnology company.

Early Life & Education: Born in Bangalore on March 23, 1953, Mazumdar-Shaw completed her schooling at Bishop Cotton Girl’s High School, earned a B.Sc. in Zoology from Bangalore University, and a Master Brewer degree from Ballarat College, Melbourne University.

Ruchi Kalra – OfBusiness

Wealth: Rs 9,130 crore

Career & Achievements: Ruchi Kalra co-founded OfBusiness in 2015, a B2B commerce platform providing raw materials and credit solutions. She also leads its lending arm, Oxyzo Financial Services. Kalra and her husband, Asish Mohapatra, are the first couple in India to build two unicorn startups.

Early Life & Education: Kalra holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from ISB Hyderabad. She worked nine years at McKinsey & Company, reaching the position of Partner.

Juhi Chawla – Actress & Entrepreneur

Wealth: Rs 7,790 crore

Career & Achievements: Juhi Chawla’s wealth comes from a diversified portfolio including Knight Riders Sports, real estate, and business ventures. Her fortune saw a 69% increase compared to the previous year. She co-owns the Knight Riders IPL franchises with Shah Rukh Khan and her husband Jay Mehta.

Family: Chawla is married to Jay Mehta, and they have two children, Jhanvi and Arjun.

Neha Bansal – Lenskart

Wealth: Rs 5,640 crore

Career & Achievements: Neha Bansal co-founded Lenskart and oversees merchandising and legal functions. Originally incorporated as Valyoo Technologies in 2008, Lenskart has become one of India’s leading eyewear retailers.

Early Life & Education: Born and raised in Delhi, Bansal earned a B.Com Honours degree from the University of Delhi and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Indra Nooyi – Former CEO of PepsiCo

Wealth: Rs 5,130 crore

Career & Achievements: Indra Nooyi served as PepsiCo CEO from 2006 to 2018, nearly doubling company sales. She joined the boards of Amazon and Deutsche Bank and is a member of the CEO Advisory Council for Cohesity.

Early Life & Education: Born in Chennai in 1955, Nooyi earned a B.S. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Madras Christian College, an MBA from IIM Calcutta, and a Master of Public and Private Management from Yale.

Neha Narkhede – Confluent

Wealth: Rs 4,160 crore

Career & Achievements: Neha Narkhede co-founded Confluent and co-created Apache Kafka. She is currently a board member at Confluent and co-founded Oscilar, a risk detection platform developer, in 2021.

Early Life & Education: Raised in Pune, Narkhede earned a Bachelor of Engineering from PICT, University of Pune, and a Master’s degree in Technology from Georgia Tech in 2007.

Kavitha Subramanian – Upstox

Wealth: Rs 3,840 crore

Career & Achievements: Kavitha Subramanian co-founded Upstox, a leading online investment platform. She previously worked in financial services at LeapFrog Investments, Actis, and SKS Microfinance Limited.

Early Life & Education: Subramanian is an alumna of IIT Bombay and holds an MBA from The Wharton School. She earned both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay.
