Navratri is fashion now it is all about dance, devotion and dazzling ethnic wear and it is that festival when fashion takes the center stage. Among the best of the lot for this festival are Ambani family women like Nita Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Radhika Merchant and Isha Ambani.

Each of the above has her own style with ethnic wear and millions look up to them and take inspiration from the very Navratri looks that they create.

Nita Ambani Style

The Navratri affair of Nita Ambani was much more than a dazzling tribute to tradition and grandeur. Her attire for this year was a lively Banarasi lehenga that consisted of a very rich patchwork of fabrics, much complemented by further granitas in zari and hand embroidery. The touch of royalty came with a pink blouse styled out of gold and bronze threadwork, while the leheriya-printed pink dupatta, draped in straight pallu style was reminiscent of the classic Rajasthani craftsmanship.

Nita’s accessories had pretty grand elements to them too an extravagant multi-layered diamond necklace with emeralds studded in them, statement earrings and a maang tikka topped the regal form and glamorous festive makeup, with emphasis on kohl-rimmed eyes and a subtly glossy lip, was set off on the hair that fashioned a neat middle-parted bun finished off with a red bindi.

Shloka Mehta Style

Shloka Mehta is a stylish girl in the Ambani family with her signature modern twist on traditional Gujarati garb, celebrated the Navratri in a richly colored royal blue lehenga, embroidered in a plethora of colorful Resham threads and studded with glimmering mirrors and stones formed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

A matching toran further showcased her to emphasize her striking collection of festooned green, emerald jewels against such an executive wise push of bright color. Shloka’s look brilliantly portrayed the idea of Navratri in the modern sense while it relayed strongly a cultural affinity.

Radhika Merchant Style

Radhika Merchant does maximalist Navratri fashion and she looked lovely in a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga inspired by Banjara and Kutchi designs, alive with color and vivid mirror embellishments. Form-fitted to her lovely silhouette, it was paired with custom pieces of jewelry and a braided hairstyle symbolic of her signature India-cool vibe.

The winner was her blue flared lehenga, neatly embellished in delicate hand embroidered work at white and glinting mirrors both best bet for loud style sinning festive wear.

Isha Ambani Style

Isha Ambani makes it really interesting with the Navratri getup, leaving behind traditional silhouettes and opting for newer contemporary cuts. The custom Torani skirt and sleeveless blouse, flaunting a beautiful and fun style with elements of tassel embroidery and sequined heart motifs, look not just beautiful, but also playful and stunningly artsy Esque at the same time.

For those who like it very subtly elegant, Isha’s pastel Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga with elaborate thread and mirror work topped with silver diamond jewelry and minimalist makeup is an excellent representation of bridging tradition and modernity.
