As Diwali- the festival of lights has arrived, people from all over the country are getting ready to celebrate the majestic Diwali 2025 with tradition and culture mixed with modern technology and practices. This sacred festival, which celebrates the triumph of light over evil, is set to celebrated today on Monday, October 20, 2025, with Maa Lakshmi Puja as the focal ceremony of the night. The Pradosh Kaal during Diwali night is when Goddess Maa Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, is prayed to bless houses with wealth. For this year 2025, the Lakshmi Puja Muhurat in the Delhi NCR area, such as Noida and Gurugram, is expected to be 2 hours and 20 minutes, from 6:12 PM to 8:32 PM.

Families decorate the puja room (mandir) with diyas, rangoli, and flowers prior to the start of the puja. Throughout this period, devotees light diyas, present sweets, and chant Maa Lakshmi- Lord Ganesha mantras for good fortune, prosperity, and joy in their lives.

Diwali Puja time 2025- Amavasya Tithi timings

The Amavasya Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik will start on October 20, 2025, at 5:27 AM and will last till October 21, 2025, at 4:55 AM. According to tradition, during this Pradosh Kaal within Amavasya time, Maa Lakshmi Puja is performed. Therefore, puja done within this time is in sync with the spiritual vibes of Diwali night.
