JP Nadda Releases Sankalp Patra for Rajasthan Assembly Polls

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda, flanked by key party leaders, launched the party’s manifesto, ‘Aapano Agranee Rajasthan Sankalp Patr 2003,’ ahead of the upcoming Rajasthan assembly polls in Jaipur on Thursday. Prominent figures such as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Rajasthan BJP President CP Joshi, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Vasundhara Raje, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Satish Poonia joined Nadda for the occasion.

Nadda, during the manifesto launch, underscored the BJP’s unwavering commitment, contrasting it with other parties where he alleged the manifesto is a mere formality. He asserted that for the BJP, the manifesto is a developmental roadmap backed by historical proof.

The comprehensive manifesto comprises pivotal resolutions aimed at enhancing citizens’ lives:

1. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: The party proposes to elevate financial aid to farmers under this scheme to Rs 12,000 per year.
2. Laho Incentive Scheme: Intending to support underprivileged families, this scheme offers a savings bond at the birth of daughters, maturing over time to provide financial support at various educational stages.
3. Direct Benefit Transfer: Students from economically weaker families will receive an annual grant of Rs 1,200 for essential school items.
4. Bhamashah Health Infrastructure Mission: The party outlines a significant investment of Rs 40,000 crores to modernize and expand health infrastructure.
5. Special Investigation Team: A dedicated team will be established to swiftly investigate paper leak cases, ensuring strict action against culprits.

Highlighting concerns over the Congress Party’s five-year performance, Nadda pointed to issues such as corruption, disrespect towards women, farmer neglect, high electricity rates, and elevated VAT on petrol and diesel. With Rajasthan heading to the polls on November 25 and vote counting slated for December 3, the BJP aims to secure a decisive mandate after winning 163 seats in the 2013 elections and forming the government in the state. In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP secured 73 seats in the 200-member House. The subsequent government formation saw Gehlot taking the oath as CM with the support of BSP MLAs and Independents.
