Strapline: KC Venugopal has not interfered in Governance in the State & We are not bothered about BJP’s Comments

Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that locals and eligible evictees from Kogilu encroachment incident would be rehabilitated under Rajiv Gandhi Housing scheme.

Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, he said, “Venugopal has not interfered in the governance of the state. He is the General Secretary of our party and has given us suggestions. Don’t the BJP National President advise state BJP leaders? I have got the details of the evictees. Law is same for all communities. The CM has called for a meeting tomorrow. I have got the details that one person has taken money and encouraged people to put up sheds in the government land.” He was replying to BJP’s criticism of K C Venugopal’s tweet.

Asked about BJP leader Ashwath Narayan’s statement that K C Venugopal must not interfere in state’s affairs, he said, “He is giving such statements to stay relevant in the party. They give statements because you carry them. I am not bothered about such statements.”
