More than 2,42,000 medical graduates took the computer-based NEET PG 2025 exam, which ended successfully today. According to a press release from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), this exam became the largest computer-based exam in India to be administered in a single sitting. It was held in a single shift spanning 301 cities and 1,052 test centers.

In order to maintain transparency and rebuild students' trust in the examination system, NBEMS implemented hitherto unheard-of security measures in response to recent scandals involving competitive tests in India.

Multi-Layer Security and Zero Tolerance Towards Malpractice

In order to ensure a fair and seamless NEET PG 2025, NBEMS exerted every effort. The Board requested that more than 2,200 academics from medical schools and other organizations accredited by NBEMS act as unbiased observers.

Their role was to monitor exam conduct and maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards the use of unfair means.

“NBEMS deployed more than 200 personnel at its office to continuously view the live CCTV feed in a real-time manner, which was received from all the test centres,” the board stated. To reinforce these efforts, senior medical college officials, including deans and directors, were also dispatched as part of a flying squad to further strengthen on-ground monitoring.

Cyber Commandos and Signal Jammers Boost Digital Security

NBEMS worked with the Ministry of Home Affairs' (MHA) Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) to combat possible cyberthreats. Up to 300 cyber commandos were positioned strategically throughout numerous critical centers to foil any efforts at cheating or digital misconduct.

An extra layer of security was provided by putting cell signal jammers at each test facility to deter unwanted communication.MHA and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) were continuously keeping an eye on the preparations and providing the required cautions at this time.

Coordination with State and District Authorities

Additionally, NBEMS reached out to DGPs and chief secretaries in each state to ensure a smooth exam administration. Law enforcement, computers, and a steady supply of electricity were entrusted to officials everywhere. With the assistance of local police departments and district administrations, safe testing grounds were created.

The Board reaffirmed its opposition to future exam malpractice and paper leaks, as well as its dedication to maintaining the integrity of national medical admission exams.

Because of the high attendance and advanced security measures in place, NEET PG 2025 is regarded as a model for conducting high-stakes tests in India. With this year's exam, NBEMS is boldly attempting to reestablish the validity of the testing system in response to growing criticism.
