Nepal’s batsman Dipendra Singh Airee accomplished a rare feat by smashing six sixes in an over during a T20 International match against Qatar in Al Amerat. This achievement made him only the third player in T20I history to achieve this remarkable milestone, joining the ranks of Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard.
Airee’s explosive innings saw him score 36 runs off the final over, catapulting his total to 64 runs from just 21 deliveries. This outstanding performance helped Nepal reach a formidable total of 210 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
It’s worth noting that while this was Airee’s first instance of hitting six sixes in an over in international T20 cricket, he had previously achieved a similar feat during the Asian Games in Hangzhou in September 2023, where he scored a fifty off just ten balls against Mongolia.
This electrifying display also saw him set a new record for the fastest fifty in T20I cricket, surpassing the previous mark held jointly by Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, and Hazratullah Zazai.
