Following the release of Ranbir Kapoor’s movie ‘Animal’ in theaters, Neetu Kapoor, his mother, expressed a heartfelt sentiment on social media, reminiscing about her late husband Rishi Kapoor, and wishing he could witness their son’s performance.

Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram stories to share a photo of Ranbir sporting a distinctive look with his long hair tied into a half-bun. Accompanying the picture, she wrote, “Wish Rishiji was here,” signifying her poignant longing for her husband’s presence during this significant moment in their son’s career.

Rishi Kapoor, a veteran actor, passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67, following a battle with leukemia. He was treated in New York, where Neetu Kapoor remained by his side throughout his medical journey.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana, Shakti Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri. The film is centered on the dynamic of a father-son relationship, as portrayed by Anil and Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir’s character is portrayed as fiercely protective and possessive of his father’s affection, even resorting to threats against anyone who gets in the way of his father’s love.

The three-and-a-half-hour and twenty-one-minute film was released in theaters on December 1 in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
