In a significant development related to NEET-UG 2024 exam results, The Supreme Court declined to halt the counseling for NEET-UG 2024 on Thursday. Emphasizing, that MCC’s counseling session should take place as per schedule.

While refusing the stay, the apex court observed, MCC counseling for NEET 2024 students shouldn’t halt.

‘Counselling will go on and we will not stop it. If the exam goes then everything goes in totality so nothing to fear.’ said top court on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the national testing agency has decided to invalidate NEET UG results of 1,563 students, who were provided grace marks.

Earlier in the day, the government formed the committee to examine the result controversy issue, which decided to cancel the marks of those students, who got grace marks.

Furthermore, the NTA has informed the court that the 1563 students will be given the option to appear for a re-test scheduled for June 23.

Additionally, the students will be notified of their marks without any grace marks and will have the choice to either retake the test or decline.

Those choosing re-examination, will give NEET exam again on June 23, while those who decline, their May 5 results will be considered final.

As for NEET UG counselling 2024, its process is set to start on July and as announced by the center, the counselling will commence on July 6 2024.
