Patna Police has initiated legal action following the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at Shahstri Nagar Police Station, citing alleged malpractice in the NEET Exam 2024. The FIR was filed after authorities received intelligence indicating the leakage of the exam paper involving a collusion among a gang, students, and individuals associated with the exam conducting agency.
According to reports, the gang was reportedly seen in the vicinity of DAV Public School, traveling in a Renault Duster bearing registration number JH 01 BW 0019. Subsequent police checks led to the arrest of Sikander Yadvendu, Akhilesh Kumar, and Bittu Kumar. Additionally, photocopies of admit cards belonging to four students were seized from the vehicle during the investigation.
The case has been registered under Sections 407 (criminal breach of trust), 408 (criminal breach of trust by a carrier or bailee), 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant, banker, merchant or agent), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police officials are continuing their probe into the alleged exam paper leak, aiming to uncover further details and ascertain the extent of involvement of those implicated.
