Union Home Minister Amit Shah had an extensive discussion with party workers and officials in Nagpur on Tuesday, emphasizing that every party worker has a responsibility to ensure the NDA secures a decisive victory in Maharashtra.

Shah participated in a meeting with BJP office bearers from the Vidarbha region, which was also attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

In a post on X, Shah wrote, “Today, in the Nagpur division meeting, I had a detailed discussion with the party workers and officials. Under the leadership of Modi ji, the NDA government of Maharashtra has set new records of development and public welfare by taking every section along. It is the duty of every worker to ensure an NDA government with a huge majority in Maharashtra and save the state from the MVA alliance that will loot the state.”

The Home Minister also met with officials and senior workers from the Marathwada division in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He reiterated the NDA government’s commitment to uplifting all sections under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. “Whether it is the respect of women or the welfare of farmers, the NDA government at the Centre and in Maharashtra under the leadership of Modiji is committed to the upliftment of all sections. Today I interacted with the officials and senior workers of Marathwada division in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. NDA workers in Maharashtra are once again committed to bring the NDA government to power,” he stated.

Additionally, Amit Shah chaired a meeting of Mahayuti leaders in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in preparation for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, expected to be held later this year. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the meeting, which concluded late on Tuesday night.

The Maharashtra legislative assembly elections will be contested across 288 constituencies. Although the Election Commission of India has not yet announced the election dates, the upcoming polls will see a face-off between the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition, comprising the UBT Shiv Sena, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress, and the Maha Yuti Alliance, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction).
