The Chandigarh Battalion of the NCC at Rupnagar Training Academy organized diverse sports competitions among NCC Cadets from various schools and colleges in Chandigarh. Colonel Paramjit Singh, the Commandant of the Academy, presided over the event alongside NCC cadets who participated in the competitions.
A Tug of War match featuring NCC cadets from Punjab University -14 and Post Graduate Govt College (PGGC) -11 Chandigarh was held, with PGGC-11 emerging victorious with a score of 2-0. The final match among senior cadets witnessed a face-off between St. John’s-26 and St. Joseph-44, resulting in a 2-0 win for St. John’s-26. Another match in the senior wing girls’ category took place between PU-14 and GGDSD-32, with GGDSD-32 claiming victory. In the junior wing girls’ category, Shishu Niketan-22 competed against Stepping Stones-37 Chandigarh.
The volleyball finals featured PU-14 against SGGS-26, with PU-14 losing in both sets. Additionally, engaging competitions like Lemon Spoon and Sack Race were conducted, with enthusiastic participation from all contestants, and winners were duly rewarded. The lively competitions drew a large crowd, making the event a vibrant and enjoyable affair.
