Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his impressive acting skills in Indian movies, has recently spoken about the constant attention his personal life gets on social media. Even though people often talk about his difficult relationship with his wife Aaliya Siddiqui, Nawazuddin doesn’t let it bother him anymore. “I’m used to it now. Earlier, I used to feel sad, but not anymore because everything is a lie on social media,” he said.
Nawazuddin, who was last seen in the film ‘Rautu Ka Raaz,’ has always felt that social media doesn’t show the real truth. Famous for his roles in shows like ‘Sacred Games’ and movies like ‘Raat Akeli Hai,’ he explained, ‘The image that is shown is never the truth. I think people have started believing less in it. If social media creates an image that someone is a certain way and you believe it, you’re being fooled.’
Talking about his own experience, Nawazuddin shared how he used to judge other actors based on what he read online. ‘I used to form opinions about actors based on what I read online, but when I met them in person, I found they were quite different,’ he said. He added, ‘Not everyone is bad. There are always some good people who keep the world going. I thank those who didn’t judge my personal life during my tough times.’
Even though he has done serious roles in movies like ‘Mom,’ ‘Raat Akeli Hai,’ and ‘Rautu Ka Raaz,’ Nawazuddin does not like being stuck in one type of character. He has played many different roles in movies like ‘Thackeray,’ ‘Manto,’ ‘Lunchbox,’ ‘Kahani,’ and ‘Haddi.’ He believes that while a hero is often kept in one type of role, an actor should not be. ‘I have never fit into any box,’ he said. ‘A hero is kept in a box, no matter how talented they are, they get only one kind of cinema, showcasing just one shade of acting. But an actor plays different characters. I don’t fit in any box and love trying different roles.’
