Accident Details
The accident happened when Khan and his wife, Nilofar, were outside a hospital in Kurla for a routine check-up. Driver’s Account and Police Investigation
Vinobha Bhave Nagar police station registered a case against Ansari for rash and negligent driving. In his statement, Ansari claimed that he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, colliding with Khan and damaging several parked motorcycles before stopping. The police have collected Ansari’s blood samples to rule out alcohol influence and are seeking car experts to understand any possible mechanical failures.
“We issued a notice of arrest to the driver and are currently investigating what led to this tragic accident,” a police official stated.
