In Punjab, there is a seismic shift in the political landscape due to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s rallies. Sidhu, who is conducting rallies after parting ways with the party, is facing objections from the Congress Party. On January 21, a rally was held in Moga, organized by the Pradesh Congress Committee, leading to Maheshinder Singh receiving a notice regarding the organization of the rally. He is expected to respond to the notice tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Maheshinder Singh stated that when Devendra Yadav was in Punjab, he could have objected to this rally or the Congress Party chief, Raja Wading, could have objected to the rally. In the midst of this, news of another rally by Navjot Singh Sidhu has emerged, causing further upheaval. Former Congress minister Darshan Singh Barad has announced a major rally in Baghapurana in February, stating that people feel deceived after voting for the party. People want leaders who will support them.
During this turmoil, Raja Wading made it clear that if anyone makes a mistake in the party, they will be expelled from the party, and no notice will be issued. He stated that if someone wants to express their views, they should do so outside the party. It should be noted that the notice issued to Maheshinder is based on a complaint by Malvika Sud. Sud alleges that the district head did not provide her with information. Additionally, she accused Maheshinder of encouraging voters to vote for AAP, and evidence of this is with the Punjab Congress Committee.
