Union Minister Bittu Criticizes Rahul, Highlights Respect For Sikhs As ‘Sardar Ji’

Following Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara’s warning, Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu arrived in Jaipur on Monday. Congress workers greeted him at the airport with black flags, leading to their temporary detention by the police. During his visit, Bittu launched another strong attack on Rahul Gandhi, labeling him as either “Pappu” or a highly manipulative figure. He accused Rahul of trying to incite Sikhs to rise against their own country once more, claiming that this sentiment is being deliberately fostered.

The Union Minister had reached the shooting range located in Jagatpura for the shooting competition being organised by the North Western Railway. While addressing the media here, he said that in our country, Sikhs are addressed as Sardar Ji. I don’t think anyone gets this respect. Rahul Gandhi wants to end that thing. He is adding fuel to the fire. Be it the farmers’ movement or the elections in Haryana. Targeting Rahul, he said that he is repeatedly provoking the minorities. The people under whose command the Air Force is, wear turbans. The DG of CISF is a Punjabi Sikh. He is in charge of the security of the airport, metro and Parliament. He said that ‘I am also a Sikh and I am sitting in front of you.’ What does it mean to talk like this, that too in America.

On September 10 in America, Rahul had said that there is concern among the Sikh community in India whether they will be allowed to wear turbans and kadas or not. In response to this, Bittu had called Rahul Gandhi the biggest terrorist of the country. There was a lot of controversy about both these statements. After this, Congress protested at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur. In which PCC chief Dotasara said that he will not let Bittu enter Rajasthan. Regarding the protesters, he said that they do not know more about Rahul Gandhi than him. Bittu said that ‘I lived with him for 15 years. He was his three-time winning MP, then I left him. Who knows Rahul Gandhi more than me.’Bittu challenged Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party to provide evidence of any Sikh being prevented from visiting a Gurudwara. He asked them to present just one Sikh who has faced such restrictions, questioning the purpose of their opposition to him. Addressing the controversial remarks from a Telangana MLA about beheading him, Bittu firmly stated that he opposes such violence, emphasizing that this is a battle of ideas, not arms.
