Sunita Kejriwal to Lead AAP Central Campaign

In a bold move, Aam Admi Party has announced Sunita Kejriwal to Lead the campaign in absence of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

The campaign will commence with a grand roadshow in the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, followed by another in West Delhi. Beyond the capital, Sunita Kejriwal’s itinerary extends to Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana, showcasing a nationwide appeal for support for the AAP and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal.

Senior AAP Leader and Cabinet Minister, Atishi, in press conference highlighted the significance of Sunita Kejriwal’s campaign, particularly in light of recent events.

Atishi highlighted the BJP’s attempt to arrest Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that it has backfired as people nationwide rally in support of the embattled Chief Minister. The arrest, seen as a bid to stifle Kejriwal’s political momentum, has instead galvanized public support, with citizens vehemently opposing what they perceive as an attack on democracy.

“Atishi underscored that the people of Delhi, Punjab, and the entire country stand united in solidarity with Arvind Kejriwal, vehemently opposing his arrest and vowing to respond with votes in the upcoming elections,” the statement read.

Furthermore, Atishi pointed out the strategic timing of Kejriwal’s arrest, occurring just before the announcement of elections and amidst the imposition of the model code of conduct. This move, according to Atishi, reflects BJP’s fear of Kejriwal’s political prowess and their desire to sideline him from the electoral arena.
