RPF Awards Medal To ASI Nayeem Basha Shaik For Distinguished Service

On Wednesday, just before the 78th Independence Day, the Divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) awarded a prestigious police medal to Assistant Sub-Inspector Nayeem Basha Shaik from the Analytical Data Management Cell. Basha, who joined the RPF as a constable in 1995, has served for 28 years. He played a key role in assisting with the recruitment of constables, sub-inspectors, and ancillary staff, as well as in preparing data for promotional courses. His work, completed in record time without any issues, earned him recognition from the Chairman and Members of all recruitment committees.

In addition, Nayeem Basha Shaik was responsible for handling the Railway Passengers (Manner of Untoward Incident) 2020 cases. He managed 530 claim investigation cases, which were submitted to the Claims Branch of SCR with the approval of the DRM. Basha’s analysis and explanatory notes were instrumental in the trial of these cases at the Railway Claims Tribunals for the respondent side.

Narendra A. Patil, the Divisional Railway Manager of the Vijayawada Division, expressed his pleasure at the recognition received by the RPF and reaffirmed the division’s commitment to ensuring security for rail users. Senior DSC  Valleswara B. Thokala also congratulated Shaik for earning the medal in acknowledgment of his outstanding service.

On the same day, President Droupadi Murmu approved several honours for Indian Coast Guard personnel in recognition of their exceptional service. The awards include one President’s Tatrakshak Medal (Distinguished Service), one Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry), and two Tatrakshak Medals (Meritorious Service). According to a Ministry of Defence release, IG Donny Michael, TM (0258-L) will receive the President’s Tatrakshak Medal (Distinguished Service), and Dy Comdt Aaqil Pathan (1544-J) will be awarded the Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry).
