Prime Minister Narendra Modi waited at the airport for 45 minutes on Sunday to ensure students appearing for the NEET exam faced no inconvenience.

PM Modi was returning to Delhi from West Bengal and arrived at the Delhi airport at 1:15 pm. Although he was scheduled to proceed to the Prime Minister’s residence, he decided to wait at the airport as the NEET exam was set to begin at 2 pm.

To prevent traffic disruption and inconvenience to students travelling to examination centres, the Prime Minister left for his residence only after the exam had begun.

According to officials, the decision was taken to avoid any traffic restrictions in the capital at a time when students were heading to their centres. They said students could have risked missing the exam had they been held up due to movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy.

Typically, the movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy requires traffic management measures at various points along the route.

PM Modi left for his residence with his convoy only after the NEET-UG exam began at 2 pm.
