Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Supreme Court of India on Sunday noon at the apex court premises. Commemorating the 75th year of the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister will unveil citizen-centric information and technology initiatives, including the launch of Digital Supreme Court Reports (Digi SCR), Digital Courts 2.0, and the new Supreme Court website, as per a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Digital Supreme Court Reports (SCR) initiative aims to provide citizens with free and electronic access to Supreme Court judgments. This platform will encompass all 519 volumes of Supreme Court reports since 1950, covering 36,308 cases. The digital format will feature user-friendly navigation, bookmarks, and open access, ensuring seamless accessibility for users.

The introduction of Digital Courts 2.0 is part of the ongoing e-Courts project, designed to offer district court judges electronic access to court records. Notably, this initiative incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) for real-time speech-to-text transcription, enhancing efficiency and accessibility for judges.

In addition to these technological advancements, the Prime Minister will launch the revamped Supreme Court website. The bilingual website, available in English and Hindi, boasts a redesigned user-friendly interface for enhanced accessibility and engagement.

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the audience, marking the significance of this momentous occasion in the history of the Supreme Court of India.
