The campaign to rehabilitate street beggars has been initiated by JMC in association with the image-building efforts of the city. More than 60 persons have been rescued from the streets and intersections and have been placed in rehabilitation centers. The rehabilitation work not only aims at creating a beggar-free Jaipur but also at transforming the lives of these persons by providing them with dignity and opportunities.
The rescued individuals are offered shelter, food, and essential facilities. More importantly, they receive skill-based training tailored to their capabilities, enabling them to pursue jobs or start small businesses. By breaking the cycle of dependency, the program empowers these individuals to lead self-reliant lives.
Addressing Winter Challenges for the Homeless
The campaign also addresses the challenges faced by the homeless during Jaipur’s harsh winters. Rehabilitation centers ensure that vulnerable individuals have access to safe and warm accommodations, preventing fatalities caused by extreme weather conditions.
Public and Social Organization Involvement
JMC is actively inviting social organizations and citizens to contribute to this noble cause. Contributions in the form of food, shelter, and other necessities are encouraged to enhance the campaign’s impact and create sustainable change.
