The scene is prepared for the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital today. In the meantime, attendees have begun arriving to participate in the oath-taking event of PM-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
BJP MP-elect Amit Shah and BJP MP-elect Nitin Gadkari, along with Rajnath Singh, were present at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the ceremony. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge also made his way to the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the oath ceremony.
Jitan Ram Manjhi, the founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), Jayant Singh Chaudhary from RLD, and BJP MP-elect Shobha Karandlaje were seated on the stage at the oath ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Also present were BJP leaders Nirmala Sitharaman, Shivraj Singh Chouhan with his wife, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hardeep Singh Puri, Dr S Jaishankar, and Giriraj Singh.
Leaders from various states like Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Manipur CM N Biren Singh, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, and Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP chief Ajit Pawar arrived at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Additionally, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and BJP leader Jitendra Singh were present. Kerala BJP MP-elect Suresh Gopi also attended the ceremony.
Two guests at the ceremony held a cloth piece with a picture of PM-designate Narendra Modi and his mother Heeraben Modi. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani with his son Anant Ambani, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, and actor Akshay Kumar were also at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the ceremony. PM-designate Narendra Modi was scheduled to take oath for his third term at 7.15 pm.
Leaders from Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Nepal, and Bhutan were also in attendance, including President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Maldives Mohamed Muizzu, Vice-President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, and Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay.
