In Ananthapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, a car driver collided with a motorcyclist and continued driving for 18 kilometers with the victim’s body atop the vehicle. The driver escaped from the scene and remains unapprehended. However, a murder case has been filed, and authorities are actively pursuing the suspect.

A tragic road accident took place near Kothapalli in Atmakuru Mandal on Sunday night, leading to the death of a motorcyclist. The incident happened when a car collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the victim being propelled into the air and landing on the car, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The car driver proceeded for about 18 kilometres without halting, finally stopping at Hanimireddypalli and then absconding. Sub-Inspector Atmakuru Muneer Ahmed reported that upon receiving reports of accident with an Innova, the police quickly arrived and began their inquiry, although the deceased biker’s body was not found at the location initially.

The driver, currently unidentified, left the vehicle after triggering an alarm. However, authorities have gathered relevant information, such as the vehicle’s registration number, and have activated the mobile phone discovered inside the car to aid in the ongoing investigation.
