Muslim League ideology is reflected in Congress manifesto: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi delivered an aggressive attack on the Congress at a rally in Saharanpur, charging that the opposition was disconnected from the goals of modern-day India. After the publishing of the Congress manifesto, Modi made comments that he likened to the principles of the Muslim League during the liberation struggle. He wrote, “The Congress manifesto completely bears the imprint of the Muslim League and the little remaining part, it is dominated by the Leftists.” In the 21st century, Modi stressed, a Congress like this lacks the vision required to take India ahead.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister criticized the alliance between the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP), labeling their past partnership in the 2017 assembly polls as a “flop film” being reissued. He contrasted their motives with those of his government, highlighting that while the opposition prioritizes “commission,” his administration is guided by a mission.

In his speech, Modi underscored the BJP’s track record and reiterated its commitment to national policies. He emphasized the party’s dedication to inclusive governance, citing landmark initiatives such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the enactment of laws against triple talaq. Modi reassured the public of the government’s ongoing fight against corruption.

As Saharanpur, along with seven other seats in Uttar Pradesh, gears up for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 19, Modi urged voters to consider the BJP’s steadfast commitment to national progress and inclusive governance.
