Congress launches new ad campaign on women safety in Maharashtra targets BJP-led Mahayuti

Ahead of of crucial assembly polls in Maharashtra, the Congress stare unit on Monday launched ‘Aata Chalnaar Nahi’ Campaign, exposeing Mahayuti government’s failure on women’s safety.

The Maharashtra Congress released a powerful new ad titled ‘Aata Chalnaar Nahi’ campaign highlighting the alarming rise in crimes against women under BJP-led Mahayuti rule in the state.

The new advertisement highlights in Maharashtra faces an urgent safety crisis as the government has failed to protect women. It pointed out that the situation is dire, with 7,521 rape cases reported in 2023—an average of 21 incidents daily.

It claimed that from cities to villages, increasing assaults on women reflect Mahayuti’s deep-rooted failure in law and order, worsened by instances where Mahayuti leaders are either accused or found shielding the accused.

This negligence has left women feeling unsafe across the state, the party claimed.

This emotionally charged ad echoes the voices of women across Maharashtra, who are saying: “Don’t call us ‘ladki bahin’—ensure our safety. Don’t give us money; give us security.”

The party in its campaign pointed out that Congress remains committed to holding Mahayuti accountable, pushing for real change to protect Maharashtra’s women.

In the past few months, Congress has targeted the Mahayuti government in the state over the worsening law and order situation. Polling for 288 member assembly is scheduled on November 20 with counting of votes to take place on November 23. All the political parties have been campaigning aggressively in the state for the crucial elections.
