In her initial remarks as the incoming Delhi Chief Minister, Atishi strongly criticized the BJP for allegedly filing “false cases” against Arvind Kejriwal in an effort to destabilize the AAP government.
Atishi, who was announced as the next Chief Minister of Delhi, expressed her commitment to ensuring Kejriwal’s return to the top post in the upcoming Assembly elections. “Delhi has only one Chief Minister, and that is Arvind Kejriwal,” she declared. “My aim in the coming months is to work towards re-electing Kejriwal as Delhi’s Chief Minister.”
As the only woman minister in the Delhi Cabinet, Atishi highlighted the unique opportunity she has been given in AAP. “In any other party, I might not have even received an election ticket,” she said. “But Arvind Kejriwal placed his trust in me, making me an MLA and a minister, and now has entrusted me with the role of Chief Minister.”
Atishi, who currently manages 14 portfolios including finance, emphasized the distinctive nature of AAP’s approach, where a first-time politician can rise to the position of Chief Minister.
