Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to launch the ‘Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme’ at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in the national capital on Friday. This initiative aims to transform the travel experience by enhancing speed, convenience, and security.
Shah will inaugurate the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) shortly after his return from Gujarat, where he spent Friday and remotely inaugurated 30 smart schools.
The FTI-TTP, an initiative by the Central government, is designed for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders to revolutionize travel, making it faster, easier, and more secure. It highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing travel convenience and efficiency.
Eligible individuals must apply online, submit biometrics (fingerprint and facial image), and provide the required information as specified. Registration under FTI is completed after verification and eligibility confirmation. Applicable FTI-TTP processing charges must be paid upon application submission.
The application can be submitted only after the non-refundable processing fee is paid. Applicants will be registered after their identity is authenticated via mobile OTP and email verification. False or incorrect information in the application will lead to rejection. Applicants whose biometrics cannot be captured will not be registered for FTI-TTP.
The FTI registration is valid for five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. Approved applicants will receive a message to schedule a biometric appointment.
The applicant must provide biometrics at a designated Indian airport or the nearest FRRO office as per the appointment schedule. Biometrics are mandatory for processing the application. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months when applying for FTI-TTP, as membership will end with passport validity. Provide a current residential address to avoid application rejection.
The non-refundable FTI-TTP processing fee is Rs 2000 for Indian Nationals, Rs 1000 for Indian Minors, and $100 for OCI cardholders. Applicants must upload a passport-size photo (JPEG, 10 KB to 1 MB) and the first and last pages of their passport (max 1 MB). Additionally, upload two scanned documents (OCI card for overseas Indians) and proof of address (PDF, 10 KB to 1 MB).
