Packers from 56 cities gathered at the National Conference of Movers and Packers. A special session was held to discuss the precautions that should be taken before booking a mover packer.
Under the chairmanship of Chief Guest Brigadier Vikram Goswami, packers and movers from 56 cities across the country gathered to participate in the business meeting and submit in the conference. Relocation expert Vinod Sharma from Chandigarh said that after a transfer or getting a new job, job seekers send their household goods or vehicles to another city. For this, they search for packers-movers on the internet and find many mobile numbers. Unfortunately, there are many fraudsters in this field.
After talking to the fraudsters, they strike a deal to transport the goods to another location without meeting them personally. The fraudsters take fare in advance, and after reaching the victim’s house, they pack the goods, load them into their vehicle, and disappear with the victim’s goods worth lakhs of rupees. When the victim’s goods do not reach the designated place, they call the fraudsters, who initially claim to be stuck somewhere and demand more money. If the victim transfers money to their account, the fraudsters switch off their mobile numbers. As a result, the victim neither gets their money back nor their goods.
Therefore, before booking a mover packer, it is advisable to personally meet them for verification and then proceed with the money transfer. On the occasion of the annual conference, all the present packers and movers were also honored by the Movers Group of India.
