Nadda, Shah kickstart BJP’s election strategy meetings

The high-level talks on the assembly elections have begun in the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party’s national president, JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh arrived in Jaipur for this mega conclave. The committee meeting started around 7:30 pm and continued late into the night. In this meeting, all three leaders discussed election strategy with senior leaders of the state. This meeting involved a discussion on ticket distribution, as well as important feedback received during the Parivartan Sankalp Yatra.
It is worth mentioning that discussions have also taken place on the selection of candidates in this mega conclave. Therefore, soon the Bharatiya Janata Party may release the first list of its candidates. This first list will include the names of leaders who have no disputes and whose victory the party is confident of. BJP’s election in-charge Pralhad Joshi also attended the meeting. Additionally, the focus in these meetings is not only on BJP leaders and workers but also on the people of the entire state. This is because these meetings will determine the role of Vasundhara Raje in the party. The roadmap for the assembly elections will be finalized during these two days of meetings.
Preparations for the day-long meeting were underway at the state headquarters of the BJP. Since morning, entry of outsiders was restricted at the party headquarters. Only those leaders who were invited to the meeting were allowed to enter the BJP headquarters. Similarly, only employees were allowed entry to the headquarters. It was reported that the committee meeting would be held at the BJP headquarters until around 6 pm. However, the location of the meeting was suddenly changed to a hotel located near Jawahar Circle. According to sources, senior BJP leaders, including Shah, may visit the BJP headquarters on Thursday.
In this BJP mega conclave, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, State in-charge Arun Singh, State President CP Joshi, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal, Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Rathore, former Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Pancharya, and other senior leaders were present. Earlier, office bearers welcomed the three leaders at the airport. During this time, a large number of BJP workers were also present at the airport.
According to sources, discussions were also held in this meeting on how to compensate for the damage to leaders or MLAs whose tickets will be cut. In this regard, discussions were held to persuade the leaders. Furthermore, discussions took place regarding recent incidents of BJP MLAs praising Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The party has shown no tolerance for any indiscipline at any level.
Discussions were also held in the meeting regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tours in Chittorgarh and Udaipur. This included determining the issues related to PM’s tours as well as the impact on various assembly seats.
