The Mumbai Police is set to establish a Special Investigation Team (SIT) today, December 12, to thoroughly investigate the suspicious death of Disha Salian, the former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Disha Salian reportedly died by suicide, leaping from a high-rise building in Mumbai’s Malad area on June 8, 2020, just days before Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide.
The directive for this investigation came from Additional Chief Secretary Home Sujata Saunik, who issued orders to the state government, prompting the Mumbai Police to initiate the probe. The SIT will operate under the leadership of the Additional Commissioner of the North Region.
Previously, there were demands from several MLAs associated with the Shinde camp for an investigation into the role of Thackeray in the Disha Salian suicide case.
