Security has been heightened in Mumbai after central agencies issued a warning about a potential terror threat. Police have increased vigilance in crowded areas and at religious sites throughout the city.
According to police sources, officers have been instructed to carry out “mock drills” at these locations to ensure preparedness. Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been directed to closely monitor security arrangements within their respective zones.
Additionally, temples in Mumbai have been advised to stay alert and report any suspicious activity as a precaution. On Friday, a mock drill was conducted in the busy Crawford Market area, which is home to two prominent religious sites.
Officials stated that these measures are part of routine security preparations ahead of the festive season.
