The Mumbai-Howrah Mail (Train No. 12809) was halted at Jalgaon station early Monday morning after a bomb threat was received, claiming that a timer bomb was on board. The off-control unit received the threat around 4:00 AM, prompting immediate action.
Security personnel thoroughly searched the train for any suspicious objects, but none were found, confirmed the Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO). Following the inspection, the train was cleared and resumed its journey towards its destination.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the source of the threat.
